MIND:
Just like I believe that I have absolutely no relation with my dog's mind; similarly, I acknowledge that there is a no relation between me (Self, swayam) and my mind. The dog's mind and my mind are of the same nature and class (jaati). When the dog's mind is not mine, then this mind is also not mine. Mind is a fragment of nature and abides in nature (jada prakriti), whereas I (self, swayam) am consciousness and God's very own fragment. Just like the worldly impressions left on a dog's mind have no affect on me, similarly this mind too should make no difference to me (self, swayam). In dreams, when there is no actual contact with the external world, the mind alone creates the whole universe consisting of the experiencer etc. Similarly in the waking state also; there is no difference. Therefore all this (phenomenal universe) is the projection of the mind. In dreamless sleep, when the mind is reduced to its causal state, there exists nothing (for the person asleep), as is evident from universal experience. Hence man’s relative existence is simply the creation of his mind, and has no objective reality.

BODY:
Just as I do not identify myself with the shadow-body, the image-body, the dream-body, or the body I see in the imaginations of my heart, similarly, I must do likewise with this living body also.Identifications with the body alone is the root that produces the misery of birth etc. of people who are attached to the unreal; therefore I must destroy this with the utmost care. When this identification caused by the mind is given up, there is no more chance for rebirth. I, therefore, look upon this body in-action as the body of another.
